If it ever happens that SongBook suddenly and unexpectedly loses the full version, please call the "Restore In-App Purchases" function. This will unlock the full version again. An internet connection is required for this.
The function is displayed directly below the message that there are too many songs for the full version in the database.
Alternatively, you can also find the function in the menu at the "..." button.
If you have purchased the full version of SongBook+ as a subscription, this can happen if the period you have already paid for expires and needs to be extended. This should not actually happen with the 5-year version, but it does happen sometimes.
The device must be connected to the Internet for this process! You may have to try several times. If it still doesn't work, check that you are actually logged in to the AppStore with the Apple ID that you used to install SongBook+ and with which you purchased the full version.
If you have ever changed your Apple ID since the installation of SongBook+, it is possible that "Restore in-app purchases" is not working properly. In this case, the following steps may be necessary:
- Backup the data of SongBook+ (see page 59 in user manual: https://www.baum-software.ch/downloads/SongBookManuals/UserManual-SongBook_6_0_rev1_EN.pdf)
- Delete SongBook+ from iPad (this also deletes the data of SongBook+ from iPad! If iPad asks, if it should also delete data from iCloud, then say NO)
- Download SongBook+ again from AppStore
- Restore the data of SongBook+ from Backup
If you use multiple books, after restoring the in-app purchases, you may need to turn the multiple books feature back on to see all books again. To do this, open the book cover where the books are normally visible, click on “Edit” and then on “Use multiple books”.
If you are traveling and do not have access to a WLAN for the Internet, use the "Hotspot" function on your smartphone. Most smartphones have a function that allows them to temporarily create their own Wi-Fi network to which other devices can connect and use the Internet access from the smartphone.
